Ministrings is an ensemble of the Conservatoire
de Lausanne, Switzerland, created in 2002 by Tina Strinning,
teacher of violin, viola and pedagogy.
Whether on tour in Istanbul, in concert with the Lausanne Chamber
Orchestra or busy with new projects, Ministrings continue to move
forward with joy and a fresh take on stage performances.
Ministrings brings together string musicians, starting from 7 years
old, all determined to commit themselves to a demanding and unique
experience.
Through this experience, often supported by older players, the young
musicians learn to listen to each other, play together, as well as to
take responsibility and play an active role both as musicians and as
performers. They perform autonomously on stage and do not need a score
to do that.
The experience gives the young musicians a magnificent opportunity to
acquire artistic and social skills whilst developing their personality
in an encouraging and enthusiastic atmosphere.
The work on expression, movement, improvisation and creativity, as well
as the numerous projects carried out together create bonds of
friendship and music between the children. Former Ministring members
often create new ensembles, such as Krysalid or BAMS, and continue to
develop further together.
The Ministrings have won three 1st prizes with congratulations at the
Swiss Contest of Music for Young Musicians (2007, 2009, 2010).
Thanks to their stage presence and their music ‘on the move’ across the
European continent, Ministrings have passed on energy and enthusiasm to
countless listeners since the beginning of their adventure: concert
after concert, they welcome audiences on their musical caravan that
leaves nobody behind.
Enjoy your visit!
